1. CUP 2017:05 - Application by R. Edward Railey, III, on behalf of Jordan Investments, LLC, owner, for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a storage yard for the rendering of public utility service under Sec. 18-37(23) of the Southampton County Code. The request is to install a lay down yard on approximately 65.34 acres of a parcel totaling 106.95 acres to be used for approximately three (3) years in conjunction with the construction of the planned Atlantic Coast Pipeline. The property is known as Tax Parcels 92-9 and 92-11 and is located on the south side of General Thomas Highway (SR 671) approximately 1,060' west of its intersection with Rose Valley Road (Rt. 688). The property is in the Franklin Voting and Magisterial Districts.
2. CUP 2017:06- Application by Sharon G. Gray on behalf of Goshen LLC, owner, for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a wedding/event venue, most nearly described in the Code as a "lodge", on approximately 45 acres of a site totaling 158.47 acres under Sec. 18-37(33) of the Southampton County Code. The property is known as Tax Parcel 6-24 and is located on the east side of Freemans Road (Rt. 717) approximately 2,400' northwest of its intersection with Sadler Road (Rt. 618). The property is in the Berlin-Ivor Voting and Magisterial Districts.
3. Amendment to Sec. 18-1, "Definitions", Sec. 18-313, "Potentially hazardous uses permitted with a conditional use permit, and Article XV, Sec. 18-430, "Supplementary Regulations" of the Southampton County Code regarding Utility Scale Solar Energy Generation Projects.
